The article discusses the problem of activating the cognitive activity of younger students in mathematics lessons. As a solution, the use of worksheets is proposed, the theoretical foundations of their application, structural features, and methodological requirements for their development are revealed. The article presents practical experience in implementing worksheets and shows examples of tasks for 3rd grade students.
