The article is devoted to the issue of relevance and urgency of the development of organic livestock farming as a promising branch of agriculture. The advantages of producing organic livestock products compared to traditional ones are considered. The relationship between the livestock and crop sectors in organic agricultural production is shown. The requirements for keeping and feeding animals to obtain environmentally friendly products with high productivity are described. The role and main prospects for further growth and development of the domestic market of organic products have been determined.
