The article is devoted to a review of studies of the influence of mobile devices on human behavior, factors that determine such an influence, and possible consequences. We considered the concepts of «fabbing», as well as «fear of missing something important». We whowed the effectiveness of the application of the project method in foreign language lessons. We gave options for the effective use of mobile devices in foreign language lessons on the example of the project-based teaching method.
