The article considers the essence of cognitive activity of military cadets because of the quality of personality formed in the process of educational activity. The possibilities of psychological and pedagogical disciplines are justified, pedagogical conditions are revealed, which contribute to the development of cognitive activity of cadets, formation of their further orientation to self-development.
