The author analyzes the issues of interaction of mathematics and natural sciences in the beginning of the last century and finds out the epistemological value of philosophy for the solution of fundamental problems of physics.

The article discusses the issues of quantum mechanics, which can be studied in a school physics course. It is shown that when studying rather complex issues in the school course of atomic physics, it is necessary to pay attention to the physical essence of the quantum phenomena under consideration, experimental work on modern physical equipment is of great help in this. In order for the process of studying physics at school to be interesting and understandable to students, it is necessary to include issues of modern physics that can be considered in lessons when studying atomic physics. The remaining sections of physics are based on classical concepts.
