This paper presents data from international comparative studies illustrating the level and dynamics of the success of Russian schoolchildren; the influence of the content of the school course of informatics on improving the quality of schoolchildren's education, on their results in international rankings is considered; examples of tasks from school textbooks of informatics to enhance the cognitive activity of students are given; the conclusion is made about the need to study the school course of informatics as a mandatory one at the initial stage of education and in the main school.
In recent decades, developments in the field of artificial intelligence have led to significant changes in education. Specialists taught the computer to independently perform complex tasks using algorithms built on the basis of self-learning. However, how can these technologies be useful in education? And how are they applied in this area already today? In this article we tried to find answers to these questions.
