The educational, pedagogical process, which is the object of study of many sciences, is a complex and multifunctional phenomenon. Success in the education and upbringing of children is determined by a variety of factors and neglect of these factors inevitably leads to failure. The educational process that takes place in the school creates prerequisites for situations in which the psychologist often needs to participate. The article explores the importance of psychological and pedagogical knowledge in the general education system.
The article reveals peculiarities of psychological and pedagogical prevention of youth extremism at school. It describes the results of the empirical research on the contents and forms of teachers’ and psychologists’ preventive work carried out among schoolchildren. Some problems of this work are singled out.
