The article presents a theoretical and empirical analysis of the problem of truancy prevention in modern schools. Two types of school truancy prevention are singled out: primary prevention and secondary prevention. The article describes the results of the empirical research on the contents and forms of social teachers’ work aimed at the prevention of truancy among schoolchildren. The most typical problems in organizing such preventive work are listed.
The article reveals peculiarities of psychological and pedagogical prevention of youth extremism at school. It describes the results of the empirical research on the contents and forms of teachers’ and psychologists’ preventive work carried out among schoolchildren. Some problems of this work are singled out.
