The article is devoted to the analysis and systematization of ideas about methods and techniques of active study of psychology at a university. The basic classification of lectures and seminar classes is presented. The material of the article may be used in the process of teaching psychology.

Questions of general methodological recommendations for conducting seminars at the university are raised. A view on the methodology of preparation, organization and conduct of classes in a higher military aviation educational institution is presented. The possibility of using multi-level interdisciplinary connections with other humanitarian and not only humanitarian disciplines has been explored.
