In the article the principles of enhancing cognitive activity of students of higher education in "Shipbuilding, ocean engineering and stemotehnika marine infrastructure facilities" during of practical lessons in sailing school "SAIL" with FMiAT NSTU. Disclosed the content of the workshops and shows their role in enhancing cognitive activities students shipbuilders.

This paper reveals the main mechanisms and algorithms for implementing the independence of water transport technologies from foreign influence and events abroad in general. The Government of the Russian Federation and the competent authorities are taking actions aimed at achieving the aforementioned sovereignty. This vector of technology development has been created for a long time and is being systematically updated – the prerequisites for it are rooted in the niche of state security as well as in its economic and industrial integrity. A technologically advanced and independent country is the target of multiple activities of the governing forces and services, which is highlighted in this article.
