The article assesses the non-linear nature of changes in values in the conditions of social anomie characteristic of the modern Russian socio-cultural situation. It is concluded that the values have not yet settled. Institutionalization of transformed values, their consolidation as regulatory and long-term social practices, supported by social norms, most likely, has not yet occurred. A mass demand for “spiritual bonds” has been formed in society, which causes a search for a national idea, which will probably determine the vector of new value orientations for Russians.
