This work examines stylistic means used by American writer Sherman Alexie for depicting life of Native Americans in the reservation. Alexie is a Native American by origin so he knows all problems of his people. This research is relevant because prose and poems of this author are almost unknown to Russian readers. This work analyzes three short stories published in the first storybook by Sherman Alexie.
