The source of replenishment of mounted units was the reserve divisions, the effectiveness of the creation process of which largely depended on the location of their deployment. The article is devoted to the study of regional aspects of the formation of reserve cavalry divisions by military enlistment offices of the Middle Volga region during the Civil War of 1919–1920.
