The article deals with the status and place of the Russian language in the States that emerged after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Special attention is paid to the attitude of the authorities to the Russian language, which is reflected in official documents of States. It is noted that the official language policy of a state does not always meet the real needs of the population in learning Russian.
This article analyzes certain aspects of constitutional reforms in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus from 1993 to 2022. The purpose of the research is to analyze legal policy and develop optimal constitutional and legal regulation. Such research methods as dialectical, hermeneutic, and comparative legal were used. The analysis of certain provisions of Russian and Belarusian legislation was conducted. Conclusions are drawn regarding the need to study and discuss constitutional and legal policy and the prospects for upcoming legal reforms.
