The article deals with dialectal words thematic group «Man», characterize the personality by occupation employment recorded in the fundamentals of the family names of the Tambov peasants and merchants. The authors point out that certain features of dialect words do their best material for the formation of these nick-names. With the development of antroponimick most of these nicknames is family names basics and «con-serve» dialect words for a long time, keeping intact its form and sound. Undoubted merit as it should be noted that in the examples of the materials business written middle of XVIII – early XIX centuries.

The fate of the Belarusians in the post-war decades became the subject of artistic reflection in the historical prose by Zinaida Dudyuk. The purpose of this work is to reveal the figurative and pictorial role of anthroponyms that reflect the mentality of the people, the assessments of human nature, actions, and behaviour formed in society. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to study the literary onomasticon in the context of a new linguistic paradigm, the focus of which is the reflection of national culture in linguistic signs.
