This article examines the process of adapting a car design for participation in drag racing competitions. It describes the main changes made to the engine system, suspension, transmission, and aerodynamics of the car, aimed at achieving maximum power and acceleration with minimum time to cover the distance. Various approaches to improving the car’s performance are analyzed, including the installation of turbochargers, light weighting of the body, modernization of the braking system, and the introduction of special tires. Particular attention is paid to the safety of race participants and the compliance of modified cars with the requirements of the competition regulations.
