The article deals with grammar structures teaching through cross-cultural texts from the outside reading book for the first and second year cadets of the aviation institute and are given the most frequent grammar structures. The author eliminates grammar aspect of cross-cultural material as a special difficulty.
The article discusses the main goals and principles of the organization of extracurricular reading as one of the types of independent work in a foreign language of cadets of a military air force institute. The techniques of working with text used for different types of reading are also considered.
