The article is devoted to the analysis of works by V. Nabokov's works of the Berlin period of creativity of the 1920s-1930s, when the central characters of his works, along with Russian emigrants (“Mashenka”, “Luzhin's Defense”, “The Feat”) became the inhabitants of Berlin (“King, Lady, Jack”). These novels allow us to identify the features of the writer's artistic picture of the world as a bright representative of the “younger” generation of the first wave of emigration and characterize the narrative strategy of his texts, which, in our opinion, is a characteristic feature of this generation of writers.
