This article is devoted to the study of ultrasonic treatment of gas-liquid systems. The experiments were carried out on a specialized stand with temperature control and high-speed image recording of the interfacial surface. The key result: the largest interfacial surface of aeration bubbles is achieved when the bubble is located in a zone of degenerate cavitation (at a distance of the order of the size of the aeration bubble, microbubbles exist for a long time and do not collapse, and collapsing cavitation bubbles appear in the immediate vicinity of the bubble surface). It is shown that preheating of a liquid medium (an aqueous solution of glycerol) allows capillary waves to exist in highly viscous liquids, which is important for the intensification of technological processes of gas degassing and dispersion in metallurgy, pharmaceutical and oil and gas industries..
