This article outlines the principles for compiling a dictionary of Soviet-era ergonyms. This dictionary was created using the names of commercial enterprises in Severodvinsk from the 1940s to the 1980s. The structure of the dictionary entry is discussed. The dictionary aims, on the one hand, to continue the traditions of Russian lexicography, and on the other, to reflect local history and encyclopedic information in the dictionary entry.
