The article touches upon the novel «My Genius, My Angel, My Friend» (2013) by A. P. Rogov. An attmept of analysing the novel from the point of view of spiritual realism is taken for the first time ever. The author concludes that the idealization of the poet-instructor's character is brought to the forefront in the novel. His unique poetic talent is harmonically combined with the keen morality that meets the Christian ideals. The author assumes that a new genre of «ode in spiritual realism prose» appeared within the main genre of artistic biography.

Proceeding from new materials the article comments on V. A. Zhukovsky’s acute interest to Crimeantartar realia connected with the Turkish origin of his mother during his travel in the Crimea in September 1837. The writer’s diary materials also allow stating that he arranged a commemoration party with participation of the emperor’s family and numerous guests for the sake of his pupil and junior friend in the year of A. S. Pushkin’s death.
