Zhukovsky’s acute interest to Crimeantartar realia connected with the Turkish origin of his mother during his travel in the Crimea in September 1837. The writer’s diary materials also allow stating that he arranged a commemoration party with participation of the emperor’s family and numerous guests for the sake of his pupil and junior friend in the year of A. S. Pushkin’s death.
