Sociological aspects of vaccine prevention against COVID-19 from the point of view of future doctors
Due to the current epidemiological situation around the world, it is very important to carry out vaccination, and for greater coverage, it is necessary to raise the level of public awareness through future doctors. In a sociological study, attention is paid to vaccine prevention against COVID-19 for medical students and the direction of preventive measures against coronavirus infection, according to future doctors, is given. Evaluation of the level of vaccination among students and their attitudes towards vaccination against COVID-19 is the purpose of this study. The study involved 250 students of 1-6 courses of the Smolensk State Medical University. To identify vac-cination among students and their attitudes towards vaccination, a mass survey was conducted in electronic form using the Google Forms platform. The average age of students was 18–25 years. Statistical analysis of the obtained data was carried out using a standard package of applied statistical programs (Microsoft Excel 2016). The graphical data was generated using the Google Forms platform. According to the results of the study, a high level of vaccination of medical students against COVID-19 was noted. It was found that more than half of the students had a new coronavirus infection. The most effective for the prevention of COVID-19, according to students, are the Sputnik V and Sputnik Light vaccines. In conclusion, I would like to note that in order to fulfill their social functions, both the state and the professional community today need to work with agitation and promotion of vaccination among the population. To convey information through relevant sources for both youth and adults in an accessible language so that people can watch to new technologies not with fear or hostility, but with confidence in their safety and usefulness.
