The article is devoted to the analysis of the sowing qualities of spring barley seeds treated with preparations of various origins. It also deals with the evaluation of the influence of these preparations on the size of sprouts and the number of formed roots (Experiment 1). The reliability of the results obtained in Experiment 1 has been established. Under laboratory conditions during seed germination in soil, there has been determined the influence of the preparations on germination, the dynamics of dry matter accumulation, and the content of the main nutrient elements (NPK) in the aboveground plant mass 10 and 15 days after emergence was determined (Experiment 2).
The article is devoted to results of the comparative assessment of winter soft wheat varieties in the environmental test of the Azov-Black Sea Engineering Institute. The object of the study was 12 varieties of winter soft wheat of the Zernograd and Stavropol breeding. The researches were carried out in 2024–2025 using field and laboratory methods. The period from germination to earing, resistance to stress-factors, yield and grain quality were researched. The most adaptive varieties with high grain yields were selected. Also sources of valuable features were identified for use in the breeding process.
