The article examines the problem of continuity in the study of works about the mother between the senior preschool and primary school age. The relevance of the topic related to the implementation of spiritual and moral education in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard DO and the Federal State Educational Standard DOE is substantiated. The genre-thematic originality of texts at each stage is revealed, effective methods of analyzing artistic works aimed at developing emotional responsiveness and the formation of family values are analyzed. Methodological recommendations for ensuring continuity in working with children aged 6-7 are presented.
