The article discovers the emergence and functioning of neologisms in English, based on the September 2024 update of the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary as a primary source. The aim of the study is to systematize and classify new lexical units in terms of their semantics, formation mechanisms, and thematic domains. The theoretical section studies various definitions of the term “neologism” and outlines the main types of word-formation processes, including affixation, compounding, conversion, borrowing, and semantic shift. The empirical part is based on the analysis of 62 neologisms, categorized by their thematic field: medicine, technology, socio-cultural issues, gastronomy and slang. The findings show that the most productive areas for the emergence of new vocabulary are medicine and technology, while the neologisms themselves reflect key trends in the social and cultural evolution of modern society. The study confirms that neologisms serve as markers of sociolinguistic change and respond to the communicative needs of our developing world.

This article examines the problem of the labor market about the decrease in demand for the profession of a geologist with the advent and expansion of automated technologies with artificial intelligence at the present time. At the same time, some options for automated technologies and their effectiveness in geological research are also considered, as well as their effectiveness with the participation of geologists. And also the need of the labor market in the field of geology in recent years was studied and the opinions of many experts were studied, considering their research and articles.

This article examines the artistic and emotional features of a poetic work and the translation problems associated with them. Solutions to these problems are provided using the example of the author's own artistic translation of a poem from English into Russian. Based on this analysis, a conclusion is made about the inability of modern Artificial Intelligence technologies to replace professional translators in the field of artistic translation of poetry.
