Using the paradigm of D. Navon – lateral presentation of global and local letters, has been investigated the importance of interference effect in the situation of identification of laterally presented hierarchical letters and motor asymmetry in the effectiveness of convergent and divergent thinking. The results showed that the main value for figurative and verbal components of intelligence has the effect of interference between local and global levels of selection. For the figurative component of intelligence, the characteristics of right hemispheric processes of information selection are more informative, and for the verbal component, not only the right hemispheric, but also the left hemispheric effects of interference. In the group of right-handed students, the strengthening of interference processes in the situation of identification of laterally presented hierarchical letters corresponds to an increase in the effectiveness of creativity, while left-handed students have an intelligence.

Multiple regression analyses have been used for investigate relationship between hemispheric attention and motor asymmetry and the efficiency of convergent thinking during identification and comparison hierarchi-cally organized information. It was found that the success of convergent thinking is related mainly to the rapid and accurate identification of information at the global level selection. In comparing the situation to improve verbal convergent thinking requires high accuracy and speed comparison stimuli in the left, and for figurative – in the right hemisphere.
