The euphemisms of the word “өлүк" are considered in the article. The word “өлүк" in its literal sense denotes the body, the remains of a person or animals after death and it is euphemized only when the body of the died person is meant.

In this article, euphemizing of the word “көр” – “grave” is considered. Today we meet the word “көр” “grave” in the speech of old people who use this word only in extreme psychological situations (in condition of rage, excitement, grief, etc.).
