The article considers topical issues of correlation and application of information and communication and design technologies in extra-curricular activities in geography. Presents theoretical and methodological bases of a technique of use of information and communication technologies in line with the processes of Informatization and the greening of geographical education. In the result of the study, designed the author's methodical use of information and communication technologies in extra-curricular activities in geography.

The paper presents the author's methodical system of realization of civil-patriotic education in specialized geographic education that meets the cultural ideas of student-oriented learnings. The authors view formation of civic consciousness and patriotism in the relevant geographic education through targeted, meaningful and effective procedure and evaluation methodological components of the system.

The paper discusses current methods of teaching geography, associated with the serial expanding of the concept “natural and cultural heritage” in the course of geography at school. The author presents and discloses the specifics, methods and instructional techniques for each stage in the author's sequence.
