The paper proposes a model of integration of disciplines in the course of subject preparation of the future clothing designers; the stages of learning the design of overalls on the basis of an integrative approach.

The paper studies fire-resistance of curtain fabrics based on cotton and polyester. Fabrics were treated with flame retardants of different chemical nature and concentration. The paper describes fire-resistance of curtain fabrics depending on their chemical nature and concentration of the impregnating compositions. The features of the influence of flame retardants and their concentration on the flame retardant fabric are described.

The paper deals with the assessment of effectiveness of flame retardants for cotton knitted fabric for cloth-ing of fire show artists.

On the basis of experiment, the paper describes the assessment of indicators of acute and chronic toxicity of knitted fabrics for children.

Based on the studies, the authors give recommendations for design of bias cut garments of linen cloths with the changes of linear dimensions of clothing parts. There is the analysis of the cost-effectiveness of experimental bias cut dress, made in view of the developed recommendations.
