Representatives of the Center for Qualification Evaluation of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of the North-West, among a number of experts, declare a tough stance regarding the fulfillment of their mission with regard to the universal duty of passing exams on professional standards by all employees of the hospitality and tourism enterprises of St. Petersburg. However, on closer examination it turns out that these provisions require more careful study, correlation with the current legislation and the realities of educational activity in institutions of secondary professional and higher education in Russia.

China's willingness to invest in the development of hospitality infrastructure in Russia under the auspices of the Great Silk Road project harmoniously fits with the needs of St. Petersburg in creating new jobs in hospitality and maintaining the safety of tourist and tourist demand facilities. The multiplicative effect in this connection can be achieved by strengthening the role of St. Petersburg as the capital of the network of routes "Silk thread of Russia", which includes ten "rings" from Astrakhan to Vologda and Petersburg, including the "Golden Ring" and the "Silver Ring of Russia" .
