The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the necessity of training qualified educators and the importance of their role in the implementation of innovative technologies in the educational process. The essence of project-research technology (PRT) is disclosed, with special attention given to the advantages of using this technology in foreign language teaching.

This article analyzes the concept of «integration», presents its various interpretations, from the point of view of certain specific aspects. The features of the technology for the development of critical thinking are considered. The stages necessary for the effectiveness of its application in an integrated lesson are named. The questions and results of the survey of students on the topic: «The cultural life of modern teenagers» are given. A model of an integrated lesson of the Russian language and culture using the technology of developing critical thinking through reading and writing is presented. As a result of the study, it was determined that the development of critical thinking is one of the main tasks of training, since the technology is aimed at forming the value basis of the individual, necessary for the revival of the spiritual appearance of our culture.
