In recent years, statistics have recorded an increase in the number of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. This determines the relevance of solving the problems of teaching children with autism spectrum disorders, searching for and developing new methods, and creating an individual educational route. Autism spectrum disorders represent a wide variety of developmental deficits, which complicates the creation of unique teaching methods that are equally suitable for all children with autism spectrum disorders. However, existing methods and their combinations can help a child master complex skills. One of these complex skills is reading. The article provides an overview of methods for teaching reading to children with autism spectrum disorders.
