Teaching a foreign language in any educational institution is a complex, diverse system of knowledge transfer and the formation of linguistic skills. The authors consider the methodology of teaching a foreign language in special (correctional) educational institutions. The article provides an example of the specifics of teaching a foreign language at a Ryazan school for blind children, and provides reasons for the specifics of working with children with disabilities.
The article analyzes modern approaches to teacher activities in managing the cognitive activity of primary school students. Three levels of such activity are considered and analyzed, as well as the main tasks of a primary school teacher. A list of techniques for developing cognitive activity is compiled, along with examples of their impact on students. Some approaches to managing cognitive activity that are currently being implemented in education are examined in detail.
