The article discusses the problem of reducing students' cognitive interest in studying history. It examines various approaches to defining cognitive interest in psychological and pedagogical science. The importance of using digital educational resources to increase students' activity in the learning process is substantiated. A set of digital tools is proposed, taking into account the age characteristics of students (5-7 and 8-11 grades). It is concluded that the proper use of digital technologies helps to create vivid visual images, systematize knowledge, and increase students' cognitive interest in history.
