The article reflects the main results of the study of the problem of the formation of command-methodological competence of cadets-military pilots as an important result of their professional training. The tendencies of military professional training of cadets in military aviation universities are considered. Arguments are given regarding the need for its improvement, taking into account the specifics of future military professional activity, proving the leading role of command-methodological activities. The need of cadets-military pilots in command-methodological competence is indicated. A pedagogical system for the formation of command-methodological competence is presented, containing a set of pedagogical tools, and the results of experimental work on its approbation.
Modern trends in the transformation of higher education and the military organization of the state determine the improvement of the professional training of cadets in a military aviation university, the pedagogical system of which does not fully take into account the motivation of cadets and the need for self-improvement. The concept of forming a rating assessment of the professional activity of cadets-military pilots is based on functional, modular, system-structural, personal-activity approaches. The expediency of using quantitative assessment methods to determine the quality of cadets, their ranking and stimulation of activities are confirmed by the results of experimental work.
