The article contains a system of exercises aimed at the formation of thoughtful reading as a cognitive skill while studying the story of A.S. Pushkin «The Queen of Spades» in the 8th grade. The author gives the methodological recommendations describing the use of the “slow reading” technique, screen adaptation, spreadsheet and video.

Abstract. The article reveals the significance of STEAM-technologies in preschool education and offers recommendations for their effective application. The influence of a multidisciplinary approach on the cognitive, creative, and personal development of young children is considered. The advantages of STEAM-based education over classical methods are substantiated, and ways to improve the quality of preschool education through the implementation of innovative practices are outlined.
