The article examines the possibility of using the poetry collection "The Swan Camp" (1918–1921) by M.I. Tsvetaeva in the practice of teaching Russian to non-native speakers. The relevance of the work is determined by the need to find authentic texts capable of improving students' linguistic and communicative competencies and immersing them in a cultural and historical context at the same time. The purpose of the study is to reveal the linguistic and cultural potential of M.I. Tsvetaeva's poetry collection "Swan Camp" and to propose a practical model for its use for teaching Russian to non–native speakers. The leading approach is linguistic and cultural analysis, which makes it possible to consider the poetry collection "Swan Camp" as a unity of linguistic and cultural meanings. The paper presents a three-component lesson model that includes literary, linguistic, and control components aimed at developing lexical and grammatical skills and interpreting key cultural and historical concepts. The high efficiency of the synthesis of literary and linguistic components is emphasized. The proposed algorithm for working with poetic texts can be used both in the practice of teaching Russian language and in the development of specialized courses and textbooks for foreign students.
