It describes the possibilities of using the thematic exhibition "My Homeland - Russia" in patriotic education of children. The content of the article includes a theoretical justification for patriotic education of senior preschool children as one of the priority tasks of the country's educational system and the results of the proposed educational work in the process of creating the exhibition.
