The paper deals with the classification of scientific disciplines and branches of scientific knowledge. The drawbacks in the training of engineers associated with the imperfection of the educational standards. The authors formulate the problems of engineering pedagogy and ergonomics, which need to be addressed in the preparation of highly qualified personnel.

The analysis of approaches to the definition of "Pedagogical Design" concept in domestic and foreign studies in the field of ergonomics and e-learning is made in this article. Educational resources used in electronic and traditional education are analyzed. The authors suggest the integration levels of pedagogical design objects at different stages of new information technologies designing from the viewpoints of ergonomics and pedagogical psychology.

The article is devoted to the problem of physical inactivity among design students, whose academic and future professional activities are inextricably linked with prolonged stay in a static position. The mechanisms of the negative impact of a sedentary lifestyle on the musculoskeletal system, in particular on the cervical and lumbar spine, are considered. A regulated set of physical exercises is proposed for the prevention of occupational diseases, reduction of physical fatigue and correction of psychoemotional state.
