The features of the tourist product formation in the sphere of event tourism are considered, as well as the event calendar, its tasks, objectives, significance for event tourism and tourism in general. Theoretical bases of event tourism, features and classification, as well as the advantages of event tourism for the economy of tourist companies are presented.

The article deals with the most important problem of tourist activity associated with leveling the influence of seasonality on the formation of tourist flows. One of the ways to increase demand in the seasonality is the organization of event tourism. It is shown that the organization of event events provides an increase in the attractiveness of tourist destinations in the low season.
