In the context of the FSES MBE, extracurricular activity is one of the components of the educational system. Extracurricular activity is an integral part of the educational process and one of the forms of organization of students' free time. Extracurricular activity is perceived as relevant, as an activity organized after hours to meet the needs of students in meaningful leisure, their participation in self-government and socially useful activities. Currently, in connection with the transition to the new standards of the second generation, extracurricular activity is being improved as a means of motivation in the process of learning English in high school.

This article reveals the principle of working with the student council in a distance form, and also describes the experience of holding events in a similar format. The article indicates the features of educational work during distance learning. The necessity of using modern distance learning technologies in working with the Student Council is explained, and Internet platforms are listed that help to improve the efficiency of the Student Council.
