The article examines the potential of project activity as a means of forming a geographical picture of the world for schoolchildren in grades 3-4. Using the example of studying the discipline «The world around us», the author analyzes the level of formation of geographical concepts among schoolchildren in grades 3-4, and also provides the opinions of primary school teachers and expert assessments of geography teachers about the possibilities of project activities to form a geographical picture of the world among younger schoolchildren.

The article presents a tool for assessing universal and general professional competencies of future lawyers in the format of integrated cases. It has been shown that they enhance the formative function of competence assessment and make it possible to use relevant procedures not only for control purposes, but also for the personal and professional development of students. Practical illustrations of research novelty are presented using the example of practice-oriented training of lawyers in a legal clinic.
