The article describes the analysis of typical grammatical errors made by Chinese students of the preparatory faculty when studying Russian as a foreign language, their classification, and an attempt to determine the cause of the failure in the formation of language competence.
The article analyzes the signs by which grammatical and speech errors are distinguished when marking written works of school students. Special attention is paid to the term «speech defect»: its content in teaching AIDS for teachers is not quite clear and is associated with violations of lexical norms, then with the wrong construction of syntactic units.
