the article describes the contribution of my ancestors to the Victory in the great Patriotic war. This topic is considered from two sides: life in the rear and at the front. The research is based on the search and research of letters from the front, photos, award materials, memoirs of relatives, as well as the Central archive of the Ministry of Defense.

The article briefly replaces the formation and treatment of women in Russia and the USSR, as well as the participation in the Great Patriotic war of women aviators as part of the 586th and 587th aviation regiments. The conclusions and materials of the article can be useful in conducting educational work with cadets of military aviation educational institutions, as well as for for the patriotic and military education of personnel of the Russian Air Force.
