This paper examines the key aspects of Russia's military security in modern conditions. It analyzes historical prerequisites and current challenges, including traditional threats such as military aggression, as well as new forms of confrontation, such as cyber warfare and hybrid conflicts. Particular attention is paid to the role of the Armed Forces, the defense-industrial complex, and international cooperation in ensuring national security. The importance of a comprehensive approach to safeguarding the country's sovereignty and stability is emphasized.

In modern conditions, when an attempt is being made to build a multipolar world, the policy called militarism continues to exist, significantly changing at the same time. Militarism affects all spheres of social existence. However, modern militarism is fundamentally different from the militarism of the early twentieth century, which is due to many reasons. The purpose of this article is to reveal the essence of modern militarism and show the main directions of its transformation.
