The article presents the methodological foundations of formation of informative activity of younger schoolboys by means of information-educational environment.

The article reveals the main content of the concept of informational and educational environment. Review of the author’s approaches to the specifics of the organization of information and educational environment in the modern conditions of informatization of the educational space allowed to identify methodological, managerial and competence-based approaches to the content of the concept under study.
