This article attempts to reveal the main causes of Internet addiction among older students. There have also been suggested that there is a relationship between frequent use of the Internet and the personal qualities of teenagers. And consider the options for the prevention of the addiction.

The article analyzes the characteristics cybercommunications dependence in adolescents from the point of view of negative influence on personality development. The author notes that the correction cybercommunications based on teenagers today is a necessity. Summarizing opinions of various researchers, the author comes to the conclusion that the most effective in the correction of cybercommunications dependence in adolescents seem to be a training of self-regulation with the use of such means as psycho-technical games.

The author of the article has selected and developed a set of techniques that allow determining the degree of interaction of adolescents with the Internet space and the level of influence of Internet addiction on them. Based on the data obtained, the scale and relevance of this problem were investigated. The result of the study was a list of recommendations for improving the interaction of parents and teachers with a child in terms of eliminating the influence of Internet addiction.

The article presents a study of the impact of the Internet on the psychological characteristics of adolescents. The study identified levels of dependence, factors of influence on the immersion in the Internet, symptoms, manifestations, describes the behavior of Internet-dependent adolescents. The study will be useful for teachers and parents of teenagers.
