The author of the given article tries to investigate people’s reasons of leaving the regional city. The research is based on the content analysis of the internet discourse. The citizens make up the opposition «insiders-outsiders». The insiders are those who leave Komsomolsk-on-Amure, the outsiders are those who stay and live in the Far East.

The article is dedicated to an evidence-based illustration of Internet-memes influence on the written and oral communication of modern young people. The definitions of the Internet-meme and Internet-discourse are given. The methods of carrying out the survey «Memes in youth’s communication» are described, its results are highlighted, the conclusions are drawn from the questionnaire. The prospects of the research are touched upon at the end of the article.
