In the context of incorporating the Internet into the educational process, the new teaching mode has broken the shackles of the traditional teaching mode, which has played a great role in promoting translation education, and also brought new challenges. By targeting the characteristics of this learning mode. This article explores the path of a new mode of learning. The article examines methods of teaching identical vocabulary in Russian as a foreign language lessons. A comparison of words that have a common base in the Russian and Azerbaijani languages shows that most of these words are phonetically and graphically formed according to the laws of the given language. According to the degree of their similarities and differences, identical vocabulary was classified according to several criteria: 1) words that are completely identical, that is, they completely coincide in both orthographic and orthoepic terms; 2) words that are the same in spelling but differ in stress; 3) words that differ in spelling but are the same in pronunciation; 4) words that differ in both spelling and pronunciation; 5) words derived from nouns with a common base in both languages, but with different word-formation suffixes and stress. When classifying identical words, we took into account the aspect of frequency of use in speech.
